WHAT IS TOPSOCCER?
TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a volunteer-led program designed to provide a fun and meaningful experience for players with special needs, while also improving fitness, self-esteem and social skills in a safe and caring environment. Using a buddy system, players are paired with a volunteer youth partner. TOPSoccer also offers families the opportunity to network with other families for support and information sharing.
PLAYERS:
TOPSoccer is open to children with special needs ages 6-18. No experience necessary, but a parent/guardian is required to attend with player. Players will be grouped by ability, not age.
YOUTH VOLUNTEERS:
Youth volunteer buddies (ages 13-18) are invited to help! No experience with soccer or working with special needs children required, just a positive attitude.
