Philosophy:
My coaching philosophy can be summarized in three statements:
Provide Opportunity
Encourage Development
Deliver Excellence
My number one goal is to develop players and provide an atmosphere for players to improve as both a player and as a person. I use sports psychology principles, exercise physiology principles (motor development, biomechanics, coordination, agility, and psychomotor abilities), technical training, and tactical training to contribute to my players’ overall development. The emphasis during training is based upon a player’s biologic age (their ability and developmental stage of life) and is based upon scientific principles of development.
I use a personal approach to player development where I treat players as individuals in order to improve the areas they personally need and to build a more complete player. This requires the use of clear communication to relay the coaching lessons. My proudest achievement is the majority of players and teams have improved under my coaching. Players who play for me will be able to pursue their dreams of playing soccer past the club level (high school, college, semi-professional, and professional). I work with them to market themselves to college coaches and play at the level that they desire.
My vow to myself and my players is to continually educate myself by attending as many coaching education opportunities as possible, collaborate with coaches, to learn and to share my knowledge.
