Walnut Creek Soccer Club collected a lot of great equipment at our registration events last year for Books for the Barrios!
Thanks to your generous donations, there are a lot of happy soccer players in the Philippines!

This year, we are collecting used soccer gear to send to Ghana!
One of our club coaches, Victor Tieku, is chief of his people in Ghana, and has a soccer academy that needs our gear. In Victor's words: "My Club is Kampsite Soccer Academy. It is in the Central Region of Ghana, and cited in three different towns: Winneba, Apam and Saltpond. We have 765 players in the club (and growing) with both boys and girls teams. I am also the chief of my people, so some of the items collected are given to various village teams outside of Kampsite Soccer Academy, that ask for assistance. The teams always need: balls, shin guards, cleats and jerseys. The club was started in the year 2000 with 24 players and has been growing since."
Dave Anderson, owner of Evolution Soccer and Sport in Walnut Creek has agreed to be a central point to drop off any used/new soccer gear If you have any soccer balls, shin guards, cleats or old club jerseys (no matter in what condition) you can bring them down to his shop located at: 1539 Locust St. in WC. Anyone who drops off gear will also get 10% off any store purchases.
Thanks in advance for all your help with this great cause!
