WCSC Annual General Meeting - Nominations Open!

The Walnut Creek Soccer Club does not just run on its own, but relies on many volunteers to organize and oversee the myriad of activities throughout the year.  If you are interested in helping the Club from the inside,  this November, we will be holding elections for the Board of Directors.  Each elected position is for a two year term.  If you are interested in helping to improve the club, or want to nominate someone, please contact Gerald Turetzky.

AGMThe WCSC Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 7pm on Thursday November 5th, Heather Farms Lakeside Room!  Plan on attending to keep informed on the state of the club, and vote for the open Board of Directors positions!

Thank You!

Ghana Gear update: We've conclued our WCSC Ghana Soccer Gear donation drive and by next week all of our donations will be shipped to Ghana and the Kampsite Soccer Academy.  The outpouring of soccer gear by our WCSC members was outstanding! Thanks to everyone who participated and more details to follow along with pictures.

This year, we are collecting used soccer gear to send to Ghana!

One of our club coaches, Victor Tieku, is chief of his people in Ghana, and has a soccer academy that needs our gear.  In Victor's words:  "My Club is Kampsite Soccer Academy. It is in the Central Region of Ghana, and cited in three different towns: Winneba, Apam and Saltpond. We have 765 players in the club (and growing) with both boys and girls teams. I am also the chief of my people, so some of the items collected are given to various village teams outside of Kampsite Soccer Academy, that ask for assistance. The teams always need: balls, shin guards, cleats and jerseys. The club was started in the year 2000 with 24 players and has been growing since."

WCSC Logo(s) and Branding

At the beginning of 2009, both the House and Compettive programs adopted the use and exclusive use of the Crest Logo and the Splash Logo for use on their uniforms.  While, by design and use WCSC has enjoyed a unperfected trademark and copyright to the Crest Logo and the Splash Logo, in 2009 with the assistance of John Merchant, Esq., WCSC took the proper steps to protect its Logo(s) for the use of such Logo(s) at the exclusive direction of WCSC.

Philosophy

The Walnut Creek Soccer Club (WCSC) is unique in that we provide four (4) levels of soccer for our players and families to choose from when participating in our club.  We have more than 2,500 players who participate in our Division 1 and Division 3 Competitive programs, our Recreational program, and our Winter Select program.  While the playing levels are different, the goal for all our players is the same.  We want all our players and families to have the ability to participate at the highest level, while having a fun, memorable and educational soccer experience.
