GU13 Dynamos - State Cup Champions!

On December 20^th, the Walnut Creek Dynamos bested a highly competitive Santa Rosa Blizzard in the NorCal State Cup Super 3 Final. The victory secured a 5^th place finish out of 54 teams from all over Northern California.

The Dynamos scored first with a precisely placed volley by Zoe Ramer off of a beautiful corner by Spencer Wikander. Although the Blizzard equalized the score with one minute to go in the first half, the Dynamos continued to battle through the second half, into Golden Goal overtime, and then had to face their opponents in penalty kicks. The Dynamos were confident, however, with consistently well-struck shots by our first four shooters. With a little luck and strong goalkeeping, the Blizzard failed to score the necessary points to keep the shootout going…and the Dynamos emerged victorious!
