Become A WCSC Referee In 2009

The WCSC announces dates for the Entry Level Clinics to become a Referee. There will be two clinics, both held in June 2009: Please be reminded that you must be at least 14 years of age prior to August 1, 2009 to participate in any WCSC Referee Training offered in 2009.
1st Clinic: Monday & Wednesdays beginning June 1st and ending June 17th from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Civic Park.
2nd Clinic: (new dates) Tuesday & Thursdays beginning June 30th and ending July 16th from 6:30 to 9:30pm at Civic Park.
All applicants must attend 5 of the 6 Sessions and pass a 100 question Multiple Choice Test on the final night. Missed Sessions can be made up at the other WC Clinic or other nearby Clinics. The Fee for the Clinic is $75.00 ($25 for the Clinic and materials and $50.00 for the 11 piece Ref Kit. The cost is reimbursable after 10 League or Tournament Games have been completed.
Graduates will receive additional on-field training at the U10 Jamborees in August 2009 under the watchful support of Sr Ref Staff. Prior to taking the field for the Fall Season, all new Referees will be assigned a Mentor who will guide them through the 1st three months with on-field Observations and off-field communications.
Finally, Referees will receive a fee for officiating each game as a Referee or Assistant Referee. Fees for Ref services range from $20.00 to $40.00 depending on the position, and Division.
